There are so many gorgeous places to visit out in Iowa’s beautiful countryside. One of those places is a scenic winery that will blow you away with its incredible beauty. Located in Bankston, Iowa, Park Farm Winery is a picture perfect destination that will transport you to heaven.
Park Farm Winery was established in 2005, and is a family owned and operated business set amongst the rolling hills near Bankston, Iowa – just west of Dubuque.
Park Farm specializes in a wide variety of award-winning Midwest/French-hybrid varietal wines of incredible quality.
On Park Farm’s eleven-acre vineyard, they grow specific ‘cold climate’ grapes that are able to withstand the harsh Midwestern winters and produce great wine.
A visit to the winery makes for a lovely day trip. When you visit, make sure to take in the scenic vistas as you drive in.
The chateau style building and rolling hills might just trick you into believing you stepped into another country, and another time.
And of course, no trip to a winery would be complete without going to the tasting room, where you can sample their delicious, hand-crafted artisan wines for yourself.
The facility also offers incredible wood-fired pizza to die for.
After you’ve spent a day here, sampling the wine and food, and just basking in the incredible scenery, you’ll definitely think you died and went to heaven.
The winery is located at 15159 Thielen Rd, Durango, IA. They’re open Mondays, 11am to 3pm, Friday and Saturday, from 12pm to 6pm, and Sundays, from 12pm to 5pm.
