One of the Hawkeye State's most iconic restaurants is also one that's dedicated to making sure you're far from hungry by the time you get up from their table. If you're training for a marathon or just really appreciate tasty pasta dishes, head to Clinton, Iowa, and treat yourself to some all-you-can-eat pasta at Rastrelli's Italian Restaurant.
Rastrelli's is one of Iowa's oldest Italian restaurants, and it was established in 1939.
This gorgeous, old-fashioned cucina is always a warm and welcoming place to gather for a hearty Italian supper.
On certain days, you can dine in the Avanti room and enjoy an unlimited pizza, pasta and salad buffet.
You'll love the choice of pasta. Try ravioli, spaghetti, penne, farfalle... whatever happens to be out that night!
There are always several sauces to choose from, from arrabiata to marinara, alfredo, and more.
Be sure to come hungry, because the food is so good you'll want to keep going back for more.
While I'm a pasta person myself, you can't overlook Rastrelli's famous pizza. You'll want to grab at least once slice while you're here for dinner.
Somehow, save room for dessert. Everything is sweeter when it comes from a made-from-scratch Italian kitchen.
You'll find Rastrelli's at 238 Main Ave., Clinton, IA 52732. Their Pizza, Pasta and Salad buffet is held in the Avanti room, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.
