Not only does Leo's Italian Restaurant serve up huge portions at reasonable prices, but it's also been dishing up its famous fare since 1922. As it celebrates its centennial, this three-generation family-owned legend has a lot of memories to celebrate.
Leo's has been serving great Italian food in Oelwein since 1922 when Frank and Angelina Leo opened it as a humble grocery.
But it was their eldest son Nick who created the Leo's everyone knows today when he opened a Tavern in 1940 filled with old family recipes that are still used to this day.
For those with a heartier appetite, the Tour of Italy is the only way to go. This massive sampler platter gives you a taste of lasagna, fettuccini Alfredo, manicotti, and meatballs.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L.
