With all of Iowa’s open rural areas, you'll likely come across many hidden gems as you travel and explore. It’s especially fun when you find something out in the middle of nowhere that’s really special. Codfish Hollow Barnstormers in Iowa is an incredible music venue situated inside of a barn that’s arguably the best place to see live music in the Midwest. Who would've thought this spacious rural area was actually a premier music venue in Iowa?!
Hidden in the cornfields of Iowa, you’ll find this amazing venue in a barn in Jackson County.
People travel from miles around to see sold-out concerts in this one-of-a-kind venue. It was even featured in Midwest Living as an excellent music destination.
The farm features major names in indie music, as well as local talent, and there is free parking, camping, and hayrack rides to and from the venue.
The barn has been in the family for generations, and Tiffany Biehl and her husband Shawn have been hosting shows there since 2009.
Artists who perform in the venue are treated to some good old-fashioned Iowa hospitality, with home-cooked food and a place to stay on the farm.
The venue isn’t a party destination or a place to go and get rowdy. It’s a place for true music lovers to come together and appreciate music.
