Every Hoosier knows Indiana has some of the best bakeshops in the country. No one knows how to create delicious, sugary treats quite like us. You've probably heard of many of the award winning bakeries, as well as some local legends, but there's a tiny bakeshop in small town Indiana that you may not have heard of...and you'll want to try it!
Heyerly's Bakery can be found in the small town of Ossian in Wells County, Indiana. This little bakeshop has been serving up incredible treats sine 1931 and is definitely worth the drive.
Heyerly's is well known in town for their delicious doughnuts, which are made fresh daily. You have to be sure to try their famous applesauce doughnut at least once!
While you're shopping and exploring the bakery, be sure to help yourself to complimentary coffee and doughnut holes.
You'll find fresh baked goods like cookies, cakes, packaged doughnuts, bread, and even fresh pasta for sale.
You'll also find fresh desserts in their bakery case, like strudel and mouthwatering cinnamon rolls.
You'll also want to try one of their freshly baked pies (especially the pecan!).
If you love old fashioned bakeries like the ones you grew up with, you'll feel right at home at Heyerly's. You'll find them at 107 N Jefferson St, Ossian, IN 46777.
