I don’t know about you, but I love candy and chocolate. Especially right now (I think the baby I’m carrying has a bit of a sweet tooth problem). I decided to go digging for some chocolate and candy shops in the state. Unfortunately, I was only able to find 7 that have pictures and websites I could feature in this piece. I know there are more in Indiana and I know there's more than just Indianapolis to the state. But, this list is a great place to start!

1. Albanese Candy

Albanese Confectionery Group is a company that has been known for making the best gummies and candies in the entire world. The best part? This candy and gummy giant is located right in Indiana. In Merrillville to be more specific. The gummies and candy you eat from this shop taste different – better than anything you're going to be able to buy anywhere else.

2. Schimpff's Confectionery

This is a fun and unique confectionery that's located in the downtown historic district of Jeffersonville. It comes equipped with a soda fountain from the 50s and an original tin ceiling. Old fashioned candy jars, and a chance to go back in time and enjoy what getting a fountain drink and some candy used to be like are what is waiting for you when you come here.

3. Schakolad Chocolate Factory

The Schakolad Chocolate Factory is known for being home to a three-generation European style family recipe that has crafted delicious chocolate you're not going to be able to get anywhere else. This is a factory where the chocolate is made fresh on site.

4. Ganache Chocolatier

A few of the delicious treats you can get from this candy shop include: handmade gourmet truffles, creams, toffees, and nut barks. They're known for having fun and high quality chocolates. You're going to have a very hard time just eating one. So, you better buy an extra bag or box for later!

5. Good's Candy Shop

Fudge, toffee truffles, gourmet snacks, ice cream, sugar free sweets, and more are waiting for you at Good’s Candy Shop. It's extremely common for business to reach out to this candy shop to have custom chocolate and candy corporate gifts made for events and meetings.

Sweet Things is a sweets and treats shop located in the North Willow Mall. Truffles, chocolates, and jelly beans are a few of the sweet treats waiting for you. You can even get M&Ms in just about any color!

7. Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops

Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops is actually a chain with locations all over the United States. It still makes this list because it's a one-stop-shop for all of your soda and candy needs. There are actually three different locations in Indiana and it's worth checking out (even if it is a chain) if you have a sweet tooth you need to satisfy.
