Who says it has to be October to have fun with a horror theme? We sure don't. There's a cute little place in Decatur, Indiana, where it's Halloween all year long. This horror-themed restaurant in Indiana is perfect for both the casual horror viewer and the scary story enthusiast, and its menu is to die for.
Whether you're into horror flicks or not, you can't deny that Famous Monster Pizza is a one-of-a-kind establishment in Indiana.
The staff is friendly, the food is fabulous, and the decor will take you back to the days of classic horror, when a damsel in distress could easily be found onscreen running for her life while screaming like a maniac.
Famous Monster Pizza serves up more than just pizza, too.
You can find other sorts of scary-good pizza parlor cuisine here, too, like "grinders" (read: subs). In fact, Famous Monster claims to have the world's largest "grinder", clocking in with an impressive 21 inches (almost two feet!) of sandwichy goodness.
...or should we say "sand-witch-y"?
Okay, we digress. Fact is, this place is good for all the best reasons. The friendly staff, the overall vibe of the place, and the occasional visit from old friends.
Old friends like this guy:
Famous Monster also has quite a delectable dessert menu, serving up such heavenly sweet things as floats, sodas, ice cream, and more.
The servings are generous, too, so make sure to come with an appetite (and don't exhaust it entirely on dinner).
Customers feel the same way we do. This little spot is among the highest-rated establishments in Decatur, and for good reason. It's so good it's spooky.
In short: come for the atmosphere, stay for the food.
At the time of this writing, Famous Monster Pizza is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Fridays/Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
