Payne's Restaurant is a fish n' chips joint that specializes in all things British. The owner is a native of England who grew up in the Yorkshire area of the county.
There it is, folks. These are near the same as the fish n' chips you'd get across seas. It's a big piece of codfish breaded and fried until golden brown.
You know it's approved by the Royal Family by the flag marking it.
The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous and rustic. Guests will want to take their time eating to enjoy the ambiance here.
Comfortable seating and elegant lighting really make this welcoming spot charming and classy. You may actually think you're in England with all the Union Jacks around.
Here are those fish n' chips again. Unlike most American restaurants, in England, this dish is just one large piece of fish because it was originally served wrapped in brown paper and was eaten on the go.
Of course, you'll be able to take your time and use a fork and knife, if you so choose. The "chips" are some of the best steak fries you'll ever taste.
Additional fare found at Payne's includes beef stew, Yorkshire pudding, bangers and mash, bruschetta, fatoush, and much much more.
If you're looking for a culinary experience that lets you try another country's cuisine, this is the place to go. You'll like it so much, you may want to book a trip to England right away.
