Sometimes - especially during February, but honestly for me it's almost always - we get a hankerin' for something sweet. After all, as humans, we crave fatty, salty, or sweet foods most often, and luckily for us, the Midwest is the perfect place to find all of it. Well, if it's sweet you're after, you're in luck; there's an incredibly wonderful chocolate shop in Indiana that's worth driving from all over the state to try. I mean, there are a few, but Litterally Divine Chocolates is a step above the rest. Come see why, and bring that sweet tooth.
First and foremost: yes, it's supposed to be spelled that way.
It's a cute pun, actually, considering the owner and chocolatier's name is Suzanne Litteral, and I promise: her chocolates are absolutely divine, and the name fits 100 percent.
From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by the scents of chocolate, coffee, and ice cream like something out of a candy shop dream.
And if you think everything smells good, wait 'til you get to taste it.
You can't go wrong with just about anything.
Dark chocolate is something you'll find plenty of in these cases. Sometimes it's an acquired taste, but not here.
Here, it's delicious. All of it.
...even the habanero truffles. Spicy with a kick, but sweet as sugar and cocoa, too. In fact, you'll probably find all the creative varieties of chocolate under this roof to be as thrilling as they are unique. It's a tour de force for your tastebuds (and your sense of smell).
Of course, chocolates and truffles aren't the ONLY delights to be had here. You've got to try the ice cream, too.
It has rave reviews for a reason! Creamy and sweet, every flavor is an adventure (and they all go great with chocolates).
So, come on out to experience Litterally Divine Chocolates, which you'll find in Indy.
I promise you probably won't ever want chocolate from anywhere else again.
