Enter a small, unassuming little restaurant that some people make the tremendous mistake of driving past; it's called Wheatley's, and if you've never been there, your taste buds are missing out. This little restaurant is one of our favorites for a fish fry in Indiana, and it won't take you long to see why!

Wheatley's is well known amongst locals for its to-die-for fried seafood, which is available all week (well, except on Chicken Sunday).
Of course, the availability all week doesn't stop the restaurant from having a legendary Fish Fry Friday anyway. Take your pick from juicy fried fish filets and delectable fried shrimp, plus whatever else the specials are.
The next best thing to Fish Fry Fridays? Easy: Chicken Sundays.
When we say this little spot has the tastiest fried foods you can imagine, we mean it. Despite being small and local, with only a single location, Wheatley's has some of the best, most shining reviews when compared with other Indianapolis-area restaurants. Its name comes up again and again when one is looking for great fish fry in Indiana.
And fish fry and fried chicken aren't all Wheatley's does - it offers breakfast, too, and the breakfast is so good that you'll remember why it's the most important meal of the day.
Biscuits and gravy, anyone? Make sure to leave some room, though. You know, for fish fry. Or chicken. Hmm, or what about their crunchy-on-the-outside, warm-and-chewy-on-the-inside corn dogs? Guess we'll just have to get them all. It's fine.
Wheatley's provides all-American comfort food with that small-town charm, and we're here for it.
Of course, no Indiana restaurant would be complete without breaded and fried tenderloin, and Wheatley's has that covered, too! Even the sides are tremendously tasty. Take your pick from a smorgasbord of options, like crispy french fries, delectable mac n' cheese, or good old-fashioned 'tater chips.
Wheatley's Restaurant might look at first glance like a hole in the wall, but it's a flavorful experience you'll undoubtedly love.
At the time of this writing, Wheatley's is open Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with fish fry beginning at 11 a.m. On Fridays, it's open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sundays, Wheatley's Restaurant is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
