Established in 1995, Boston Fish Market in northern Illinois is known for its wide variety of fish and other seafood that is fresh and cooked just about any way you like. It is also known as the Midwest's largest processors of salmon and whitefish at 200,000 lbs per week and 100,000 lbs per week respectively.
This incredible seafood restaurant has its own team of fishers that source supplies from all across the world.
You'll get to see the fresh seafood on display when you come inside. The dining room is bright, open, and simple with family-style seating. The place is packed on Fridays, so many choose to take their meals to-go.

Now, let's talk about that massive fish fry. Just about any seafood sold here can be battered and fried. That includes the perch, whitefish, smelts, cod, grouper, catfish, snapper, and walleye.
Other fried delights include shrimp, scallops, oysters, lobster tail, and calamari.
You'll also find char broiled options. Additional fishes include salmon, of which there are many types, tilapia, mahi mahi, swordfish, halibut, tuna, flounder, blue marlin, rainbow trout, bronzini, orata, and even orange roughy.
Other seafood includes octopus, crab legs, crawfish, clams, and mussels.

Boston Fish Market is open Monday through Thursday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. as well as Friday and Saturday between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. A meal here is better than most served at seafood restaurants that are right on the beach.
