Who doesn't love ice cream? If you happen to live in the Quad Cities, you've most likely heard of Lagomarcino's. After all, it's been around since 1908 making homemade chocolate and ice cream for all to enjoy. Beyond chocolate and ice cream, this classic confectionary serves milkshakes, ice cream sodas, fountain sodas, and even sandwiches and salads. But it's the ice cream sundaes that really draw the customers in.
This local favorite has an old-fashioned feel that will give anyone a sense of nostalgia, taking you back to the simpler times of the good ol' days. Today, it's run by the fourth generation of the Lagomarcino family.
Lagomarcino's is considered one of the best old-fashioned ice cream parlors where you can order ice cream sodas, malts, egg cremes, and a famous ice cream sundae. The ice cream and bittersweet fudge are both homemade and sometimes that makes all the difference in taste and quality.
With a variety of ice cream goodies on the menu, there's nothing quite like an ice cream sundae here. From the classic Best Hot Fudge Sundae to more ornate creations, anything you have is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
If you're looking for more of a classic, order a Hot Fudge Banana Split with banana (of course) and two scoops of ice cream topped with whipped cream, crushed nuts, and a cherry. A small pitcher of hot fudge is served on the side.
Decadent describes the Quad Cities Special sundae featuring a banana, vanilla AND strawberry ice cream topped with strawberry and homemade chocolate toppings, whipped cream, cookies, crushed nuts, and, of course, a cherry. This one sounds too good to be true!
The Caramel Crunch Sundae is a favorite with two scoops of homemade vanilla ice cream topped with caramel, pecan buttercrunch, whipped cream and a cherry on top because you can't have a sundae without those!
If you aren't able to get to Lagomarcino's as often as you'd like, take home some of their incredible homemade ice cream, a jar of hot fudge, and some chocolates or candy so you can make your own mouthwatering sundaes.
