Here in Idaho, we love our potatoes. Whether it is mashed, baked, roasted, or even sliced and covered in seasonings, there is no wrong way to eat a potato. Some Idahoans have taken their love of potatoes one step further and have created some of the most unique and delicious potato creations that we’ve ever seen. Here are just seven of these incredible potato creations in Idaho ... which one are you going to try first?

1. Potato Pizza, Pie Hole

You may love pizza and potatoes, but what about potatoes on pizza? This is what you will receive when you visit the Pie Hole, a pizza place with locations in both Boise and Idaho Falls. During your visit, try the potato and bacon pizza. This pizza consists of roasted potatoes, bacon, mozzarella, and alfredo sauce. 2. Idaho Spud Bar, Idaho Candy Company

This is one Idaho food creation that doesn’t actually contain a potato but it sure looks like one. This potato-shaped candy bar contains a marshmallow center with a dark chocolate coating and coconut sprinkled on top. The Idaho Spud Bar is Idaho Candy Company’s best-selling candy bar and has been a favorite treat for many individuals since 1918. 3. French Fries, Boise Fry Company

Of course, in Idaho, you must have more than traditional salted French fries. Around the state, there are several restaurants that serve unique and delicious fry creations. One of our favorite places to enjoy unusual French fry creations is Boise Fry Company. Here, French fries are the main entrée and there are multiple types of fries to consider, various cuts to choose from, and a long list of seasonings. 4. Ice Cream Potato, Westside Drive-In

One of the most well-known and unique potato creations in Idaho is found at Westside Drive-In. Here, you will find the famous Idaho Ice Cream Potato. While this sweet treat doesn’t actually consist of a potato, your eyes will think you are eating one. The Idaho Ice Cream Potato consists of vanilla ice cream, cocoa, whip cream, and chocolate shavings. You can learn more here.

5. Gnocchi, Asiago's

If you didn’t know, gnocchi is small dumplings made from potatoes and you can find some of the most amazing gnocchi dishes in the Gem State. When in Boise, head to Asiago’s. This Idaho restaurant serves gnocchi pasta with flavorful sauces. Try the Gnocchi Alla Vodka, which consists of gnocchi pasta, tomato-vodka sauce, fresh herbs, aged asiago, and red chile. The Gorzegno (shown above) is another must-try meal, which consists of house-made gnocchi pasta in a smoked gorgonzola sauce or a sun-dried tomato and pesto cream sauce. 6. Potato Pancakes, Smitty's Pancake and Steak House

What’s better than starting your day with the most amazing plate of pancakes? Potato pancakes are a delicious breakfast dish that will make your taste buds water. 7. Potato Skins, Goodwood Barbecue Company

Potato skins are becoming more popular on menus around the state. At Goodwood Barbecue in Boise and Meridian, you will find some of the best potato skins in Idaho. This fabulous potato creation includes Idaho potatoes that are mixed with cheese, bacon, and chives. The dish is then drizzled with sour cream and served with Ranch dressing.
