Meriwether Cider is one of these bucket-list-worthy destinations in Idaho. With a taproom in Garden City and a Cider House in Boise, you have two options for an unforgettable visit and numerous cider options to tantalize your taste buds.

When you have a craving for delicious, flavorful, modern cider, there’s one place to go in Treasure Valley — Meriwether Cider. Here, cider is a passion and is prepared to perfection.

Meriwether Cider is owned by the Leadbetter family. Gig and Ann were once firefighters and college professors who followed their daughters, Molly and Kate, to Idaho. As a family, they decided to take a new direction in life, and Meriwether Cider was born.

At this unique destination, you’ll enjoy fresh cider made with apples grown in the Northwest. You don’t have to worry about artificial flavors here. Everything is made with pure fruit juices. Plus, you’ll receive a personal touch with every single item. Each product is handmade and hand-bottled.

Of course, your taste in cider may be different than others and that’s not a problem when you visit. There are all types of ciders from spiced and fruit cider to barrel-aged cider and apple-only ciders.

Meriwether Cider also specializes in hopped cider, which is a blend of cider and hops. This is a must-try as it has won multiple awards. It may just become your new favorite type of drink.

You’ll notice a handful of flagship ciders on the menu, which are available all year long. You’ll also want to visit multiple times throughout the year to try each of the seasonal flavors ... and that’s just the beginning of the products offered here. You can visit Meriwether Cider’s taproom in Garden City if you want a more quiet, relaxed vibe, or head to their Cider House in Boise, which has up to 20 taps including several ciders from around the country.

You can also sample Meriwether Cider’s products during Idaho Cider Fest. During this annual event in Treasure Valley, you’ll find more than a dozen cideries from multiple states and more than 25 ciders to sample. There is also food from local restaurants, games, vendor booths, and a family-friendly atmosphere — all ages are invited.
