There’s no dish more classically American than the hamburger, and nowhere better to enjoy a mouthwatering burger than Hawaii’s iconic Village Burger. According to "America's 10 Most Delectable Burger Joints," published on the TripAdvisor blog, this burger joint serves the 8th best hamburgers in the country - and while we obviously haven't sampled all the burgers available across our great nation, we do tend to believe that the fare from Village Burger stands out in a crowd.
Located on Hawaii Island, in the small country town of Waimea, is Village Burger, a gem that "embodies the spirit of Aloha by proudly supporting its community," according to TripAdvisor.
With locally-sourced, pasture-raised, hormone and antibiotic free beef, locally-grown produce, goat cheese from a nearby dairy farm, Hamakua mushrooms, the burgers served at this iconic Hawaii eatery are mighty tasty. Even the buns are sourced from a local bakery!
Their signature patties are made with select cuts of chuck and brisket. Also on the menu, you’ll find locally-sourced red veal, wagyu, lamb, mushroom - and this being Hawaii - ahi and taro burgers.
From avocado to chipotle goat cheese, the toppings on these gourmet burgers are almost as good as the burgers themselves.
Did we mention the mouthwatering parmesan truffle fries and shakes served on the side?
With rave reviews and quality ingredients, you’ll regret not adding this local burger joint to your Hawaii restaurant bucket list.
Village Burger is open from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily, and is located on Hawaii Island in the Parker Ranch Center at 67-1185 Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea.
