Hawaii is the only state in America that is able to grow coffee, and as a result, we take our morning caffeine fix extremely seriously. And though we will occasionally grab Starbucks if we’re in a hurry, we prefer to visit local shops that specialize in Hawaii-grown coffee. These 12 coffee shops located throughout Hawaii are paradise for coffee connoisseurs and caffeine addicts alike.
1) Morning Glass Coffee + Café, Honolulu
Serving coffee not recommended for the faint-at-heart, Morning Glass Coffee is known for their Hawaii-grown coffee brewed in-house with a Chemex filter. Owner Eric Rose has been in the coffee business for almost 25 years, and is dedicated to recapturing "the passion for the craft of coffee."
2) Maui Coffee Roasters, Kahului
This Kahului favorite has been helping Maui residents and visitors alike get their caffeine fix since 1982.
