of creativity when it comes to the way they prepare and serve their burgers. From the modest classics to the new and innovative, here are seven of the best burgers in Hawaii.
1) Village Burger, Big Island
According to a recent Trip Advisor post, this burger joint serves the 8th best hamburgers in America. And we agree – with locally-sourced ingredients and a variety of fixings, these burgers are mighty tasty.
2) Pint + Jigger, Oahu
With locally-raised beef flavored with either oatmeal stout or Guiness beer, their famous Black + Tan burger is perfectly paired with a good brew.
3) Cheeseburger in Paradise, Maui
My father-in-law consistently raves about this place, and for good reason. What’s better than a good burger? Being ON the ocean while chowing down, of course.
4) Teddy's Bigger Burgers
Though this is technically a chain, the burgers are top knotch and it is a local favorite. Paradise is a Hawaiian burger paired with either a pineapple or Kona coffee shake – delicious!
5) Honolulu Burger Co, Oahu
While this counter-serve burger joint may not look like much, the burgers are orginal and scrumptious. For local flavor, check out their loco moco burger, based off the favorite Hawaiian dish.
6) Bubba Burger, Kauai
With three locations on Kauai, this burger place is known for its humorous tagline, We cheat tourists, drunks, and attorneys." Opened in 1936, this place is the epitome of an old-fashioned burger joint.
7) Duane's Ono-Char Burger, Kauai
Who would have thought that a simple, roadside shack with outdoor picnic tables would serve such a good burger?
