The Peach State's wine industry has been blossoming over the last few years, and we have some fantastic wineries in Georgia that any vino lover should check out. Due to the climate, most of these are in the northern part of the state, typically not far from the northeast mountains. Our wine region is the perfect vacation destination for anyone looking for beautiful scenery and great wines!
1. Chateau Elan Winery & Resort: 100 Rue Charlemagne Dr, Braselton, GA 30517
Braselton's Chateau Elan Winery is one of the better-known vineyards in the state. This place is modeled after a French chateau and it's truly magnificent.
It's also a luxurious resort, so if you're really looking for a sophisticated getaway, spend a night or two in these peaceful surroundings!
2. Yonah Mountain Vineyards: 1717 Hwy 255 S, Cleveland, GA 30528
Another Georgia winery with breathtaking scenery is Yonah Mountain Vineyards in Cleveland. The mountain views here are incredible.
A 90-minute tour will even get you access to the underground wine cave, which is an interesting experience!
3. Currahee Vineyard and Winery, 3301 W Currahee St, Toccoa, GA 30577
Currahee Vineyards is a small family-owned winery right at the base of Currahee Mountain. The farm produces 12 different wines from local strains of grapes.
The views here are incredible and there are often fun events going on at the winery.
4. Wolf Mountain Vineyards: 180 Wolf Mountain Trail, Dahlonega, GA 30533
Wolf Mountain Vineyards is a lovely winery in Dahlonega. The wines are so stellar that they have won national titles.
Not only are there wine tastings here, but you can also enjoy a Sunday brunch. There's a tasty Vineyard Cafe on-site if you want to pick up some food outside of brunch hours, too.
