Hidden restaurants are hard to come by nowadays. Normally, when a restaurant is that good, word of mouth spreads faster than wildfire. Yet, in our great state of Georgia, there still remains quite a few untapped resources in terms of great restaurants. These secret spots haven't become mainstream in their menu, nor do some of them boast much of a grand entrance. But we're here to let you in on a little secret (...or maybe 10 of them...)

1. Winston’s Wine Bar—13 W Bay St Savannah, GA 31401

In the basement of Churchill's Pub is Winston's Wine Bar. It's a place where you can grab a glass of wine and eat some delicious apps, without the British pub feel. Many people don't know Winston's even exists, but all it takes is a quick jaunt down the stairs and you're there.

2. Ziba’s Bistro— 560 Boulevard SE, Atlanta, GA 30312

A lot of patrons believe Ziba's Bistro to be one heck of a well kept secret. Not only is the quality of the food absolutely delicious (fresh hummus!), but also the atmosphere and service are stellar, too. It's a great secret spot to get some delicious eats no matter the time of day.

3. The Back Porch— 297 Buford St, Shellman, GA 39886

If you weren't looking, you'd probably drive right by The Back Porch Steak & Seafood restaurant. It's a secret gem in Shellman, Georgia, which serves up some huge flavors. Catfish, hush puppies, fried chicken, and grits. Need I say more?

4. Octopus Bar—560 Gresham Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316

A secret restaurant within a restaurant—that's how they describe Octopus Bar. A secret spot deep inside So Ba Vietnamese Restaurant, Octopus Bar has some delectable late night eats, plus graffiti-filled walls, and laid back hip hop playing in the background.

5. Jazz’d Tapas Bar— 52 Barnard St, Savannah, GA 31401

This underground lounge and restaurant is the perfect secret spot to hang and listen to some local jazz. Not to mention grab a bite to eat and a few cocktails. Most people walk right on by Jazz'd without realizing it's there, but maybe now that they know they serve Garlic and Basil Shrimp grits, they'll hunt this secret spot down.

6. Eleanor’s Speakeasy, Muss & Turner’s— #309, 1675 Cumberland Pkwy SE, Smyrna, GA 30080

First of all, who doesn't love a secret speakeasy?! Eleanor's Speakeasy is a hidden gem located in the back of Muss & Turner's behind an unmarked freezer door. Just go through the secret passageway and you're in on one of Georgia's best kept secrets. Start with the cheese plate, you won't be disappointed.

7. Sybil’s—362 N 1st St, Jesup, GA 31545

The thing about Sybil's is that it's a secret restaurant for anyone living outside of Jesup, Georgia. Not many people from out of town know how delicious the sides are, or the fact the cobbler is an absolute must-have. It's a hidden gem that is well worth a try.

8. Wine Cellar, Aria— 490 E Paces Ferry Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305

Before you say, "Aria, I've heard of that place. It's not a secret!" Hear me out. There's a table hidden deep in the cellars of Aria, the wine cellars to be exact, that is a secret spot for up to four to dine and drink at their leisure. You must call to reserve! Secrets don't come easy.

9. Planter’s Tavern— Reynolds Sq, 23 Abercorn St, Savannah, GA 31412

Most of us have heard of the famous restaurant Olde Pink House in Savannah, right? But did you know there was a secret cellar in the cozy basement that serves up cocktails and Southern cuisine in a charmingly dim light?! Oh, and there's live music to boot.

10. Canoochee Catfish— 2652 Canoochee Garfield Rd, Twin City, GA 30471

Canoochee Catfish is a no-frills, no-fuss hidden gem of Twin City, Georgia. This is the type of place that you go for homestyle Southern cooking like fried catfish, hush puppies, and fried green tomatoes. YUM!
