There are so many seafood restaurants in Georgia that it can be tough to pick one out. With our long coastline and sizable fishing industry, there's plenty to go around. One spot that we love is in the little town of Darien. This seaside city has a population of under 2,000, but plenty of history. It makes for a fantastic day trip, especially in the warmer months. Next time you're there, check out Skipper's Fish Camp. We know there are a lot of seafood restaurants in Georgia, but this is definitely one of the best!
Skipper's Fish Camp is located on the banks of the Darien River. From the outside, it looks almost like a tropical resort.
The porch has some absolutely incredible views.
Of course, it goes without saying that the sunsets here are absolutely magnificent.
There's a public boat ramp right behind the restaurant, so there's plenty to watch going on outside.
The nautical theme continues indoors, with plenty of references to the surrounding river and ocean.
There's even a stuffed and mounted 11-foot alligator to greet you when you come inside!
The seafood here is pretty incredible. The restaurant's proximity to the river and ocean means that the food is just about as fresh as can be.
From shrimp to oysters, you can find all variety of sea-dwelling critters on the menu here.
Craving crab legs? You can even get those here.
The menu is filled with delicious options for seafood, BBQ, and, of course, Southern classics like Brunswick stew.
