Drinking craft beer is becoming more and more of a hobby in Georgia, which is why this brewpub is a real hit. If you’re looking for a place where you can find some fresh-brewed beers with a unique history within the state of Georgia, then this is your place. Gather up your friends, celebrate a girl's night out, or simply enjoy a craft beer on a Saturday afternoon at Jekyll Brewing in Georgia.
Jekyll Brewing in Georgia first opened its doors back in 2013 as the very first brewery in Alpharetta.
Throughout the years, this brewpub has expanded to over 25 taps plus a 100-barrel brew system—making it a pretty huge operation.
If you’re a beer lover, rejoice, because this brewery in Georgia is passionate about hands-on crafting techniques, plus cultivating sophisticated beers from only the finest ingredients.
But what makes this brewery even cooler is the fact that it draws its name from Georgia’s Jekyll Island, which is believed to have housed the very first brewery in the Deep South.
Back in the early 1700s, Major William Horton founded the very first brewery on Jekyll Island in order to provide clean water for Georgia colonists.
Today, Jekyll Brewing honors that history, but also focuses on a unique selection of brown ales, IPAs, pale ales, and lager-style beers.
There are also seasonal releases too, which come out during the holidays, that are special and rare within the Georgia beer scene.
