There's no shortage of breweries in Georgia. The craft brewing industry is huge here, and you'll find plenty of great beer makers all over the state. One place in Georgia that was, until very recently, lacking in craft breweries is the city of Thomasville. This city in South Georgia isn't too far from the Florida state line. It's home to about 18,000 people and is the county seat of Thomas County. This is a charming city that feels smaller than it is, and it's actually been named the friendliest town in Georgia. There's a thriving downtown area here, with plenty of great shop and businesses to check out, but until early 2023, there was no local brewery. All of that changed when Tvelo Brewing opened up.
Tvelo is right in the heart of Thomasville's lively downtown area. There's a lot to see and do here, and you'll find plenty of wonderful little shops to check out.
The brewery just opened up in late January 2023, and while the grand opening has already occurred, you can still catch plenty of special events that will be taking place here, like food trucks and bike rides.
Tvelo currently features seven made-in-Thomasville brews.
The spot where Tvelo is located was once a bike repair shop, which is fitting, since the "velo" part of the brewery's name is French for bicycle. The T is for, of course, Thomasville.
There are indoor and outdoor TVs, so you can always catch a sports game.
This new brewery in Georgia is sure to be a delight for beer lovers in the area who have been hoping for a local brewer!
