Looking for a special place to take someone for the perfect evening out? While the food is probably the number one reason you choose a restaurant, the ambiance is usually a close second. This includes the view from your restaurant, especially if you can dine along the water. But why settle for just one scenic view, when you can see everything around the restaurant as far as the eye can see? This revolving rooftop restaurant in Florida allows you to do just that.
Spinner's Rooftop Revolving Restaurant sits atop the Grand Plaza Hotel, 12 stories above St. Pete Beach.
The whole dining room revolves, so everyone gets a good view. The center of the restaurant is covered in mirrors, so you feel surrounded by the gorgeous scenery.
On one side, you'll find breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico.
On the other, there are equally captivating vistas of Boca Ciega Bay.
The kitchen specializes in seafood, steaks and pasta dishes for dinner, and salads and sandwiches for lunch.
Don't worry about getting dizzy. It takes about an hour and a half for the restaurant to complete its 360-degree turn. You can see every possible angle by the time you've finished dessert.
Spinner's is open for lunch and dinner, so you can catch either the spectacular views of the beach in the daytime or the twinkling moonlit landscape at night.
Of course, it's also a good idea to reserve a spot for an early dinner (let's say around 45 minutes before sunset), so you can savor your meal while watching the sky put on a spectacular show.
Address: Grand Plaza Hotel Beachfront Resort & Conference Center, 5250 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach, FL 33706. To learn more about Spinner's Bistro, visit their website here.
