There are times you're hungry and there are times you're really hungry. For those, you want something that will satiate you, but also offer lots of delicious options. Luckily, here in Delaware, we have no shortage of great restaurants. From the iconic foods we all love to the more hidden spots that take some searching out, if you're hungry you're definitely in the right place! And if it's a burger you crave, there's one restaurant you've got to try. They've got lots of different types and they're all great.
Welcome to Restaurant 55 in Dover, where the setting is simple, the people are nice and the burger menu is huge!
Inside you'll find a comfy and cozy dining room where they're plenty of room to spend time enjoying your food. And you'll want to! There's a lot to choose from and if you visit with a group you'll probably need to take some time to taste each other's burgers.
There are more than 15 different burgers on the menu. And that doesn't even include the variations you can create yourself. We especially love that each option is so unique. Pictured here is the Not For Breakfast Burger, or the the NFB. It features a sage burger, fried egg, bacon and American cheese.
Or, try the Teriyaki Burger which comes with a teriyaki glaze and grilled pineapple.
Love onions? You'll want to dig into the Sante Fe Burger with cheddar cheese, bacon, the restaurant's own homemade BBQ sauce and fun, fried onion confetti. This thing is huge!
Philly lovers need to try the Philly Burger with characteristic grilled onion and American cheese.
The menu features a variety of other dishes, too. Start things off with these pulled pork nachos which come with pulled pork (of course!), lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled jalapenos, guacamole and sour cream.
And if you're not in the mood for a burger, check out their entrees and specials to choose something else that's just as delicious.
Enjoy it all with a flight of beers and you'll be making plans for another visit!
