For 68 years, this Dairy Queen in Lewes, Delaware has passed through many hands and been renovated several times, yet has remained in this spot since it opened. It is currently owned by the local Diehl family.
With a menu full of "scrumpdillyishus" treats to choose from, this Dairy Queen will also fill you up with burgers, fish sandwiches, chicken, and much more.
The entrance boasts a collection of photos showing off the history of locals frequenting this location over the decades. Local events are frequently hosted here keeping the community tight-knit.
The banana split with walnuts is a delectable treat with your choice of toppings. Chocolate and whipped cream is a yummy choice, which you'll scarf down before you know it.
The outdoor benches are a perfect way to savor a delicious shake while getting a view of the ocean waves. It's been a favorite local activity for several generations. Entire families love to gather here to spend time together.
You could walk for about 30 seconds and end up right here at Lewes Beach to soak up the sun, do a bit of body surfing, or just sit and enjoy the ocean view as you happily devour your ice cream.
