To find these places, it always helps to go off the beaten path, and the best cheap eats in Delaware can be found in an unlikely spot. Hung Vuong Food Market, a new Asian market that just opened in Newark, Delaware, has its own food court, and it's home to Van's Banh Mi, a popular Vietnamese sandwich shop that's found a new location while still serving the same amazing food. The specialty here is banh mi, a unique Vietnamese sandwich that's one of the most filling meals in the area and comes in a huge variety with almost every option under $10. Banh mi is one of the true hidden gems of the culinary world - Vietnamese sandwiches heavily inspired by the French colonial era and combined with the fine ingredients of the region. They're served on a crusty French baguette and loaded with pickles, cilantro, and the protein of your choice.
At Van's Banh Mi, which has recently relocated to the food court of a new Hung Vuong Food Market in Newark, the menu features some of the best banh mis in the state at a reasonable price. Most options here are just under $10, with only a few deluxe options topping that barrier by a dollar or so.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L.
