Millwright's Restaurant and Tavern is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Connecticut. This place has a formal dining room with views of a waterfall. If you prefer something a little more relaxed, there's a less formal tavern area as well.

There are an almost overwhelming number of waterfront restaurants in Connecticut. One that we love is Rocks 21. Mystic is a great spot for a weekend getaway and Rocks 21 features beautiful views and a lovely patio.

3. 5-Diamond Restaurant at Winvian Farm: 155 Alain White Rd, Morris, CT 06763
If you're looking for an all-in-one glampground in Connecticut, it doesn't get much better than Winvian Farms. This place offers some amazingly beautiful lodging. But there's also an on-site restaurant you can access even if you aren't staying at the farm.

4. Bernard's: 20 West Ln, Ridgefield, CT 06877
Bernard's is a beautiful French restaurant in a country inn. It's been a staple of the area for more than 20 years, and has an award-winning wine bar and a stunning garden for outdoor dining.
This is another spot with fresh, locally-produced food. The menu changes often, but it's always something delicious. The wine list and a current menu are available on the restaurant's website.
5. Arethusa al tavalo: 828 Bantam Rd, Bantam, CT 06750
Arethusa al tavalo advertises their menu as "dairy and seed to table." All the dairy on the menu here was produced right on the Arethusa Farm, which owns more than 300 cows and more than 300 acres.

6. Present Company Restaurant: 2 Tunxis Rd, Tariffville, CT 06081
Present Company is a unique restaurant in Connecticut with an open kitchen setting. You can watch your food as it's prepared right in front of you! It's located in an old mill along the Farmington River.

7. Union League Cafe: 1032 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06510
Union League Cafe is right across the street from Yale University. It's set up like an old Parisian cafe and has a beautiful atmosphere.
