Are you craving the juicy, tender taste of prime rib? One of the best places to take care of your craving in the state's northwest corner is AJ's Steak and Pizza in Goshen. This casual restaurant is a fun place to take a date or take out the family.
AJ's started as a modest hole-in-the-wall and now stands as a restaurant in its own building.
In 1995, Mark Wasdo first opened AJ's Steak and Pizza as a small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that ran at the Sharon Turnpike location for 20 years. In 2016, the Torrington location opened with vastly more space, two fireplaces, a wraparound deck, an extra dining room for small parties, separate dining and bar areas, and room for 90 guests.
Free peanuts are on the house, but you'll stay for the main course.
AJ's keeps a
of how many free peanuts they have given away. Beyond the fun of tossing peanut shells on the floor, what brings people in is the service and the food. The mouth-watering prime rib is served as part of a filling entrée with a side of sautéed vegetables, a starch, and soup or salad.
Prime rib isn't the only thing that's tender around here.
AJ's Steak and Pizza cooks up tender steaks such as New York Strip and Ribeye. Once you will look over this menu you will want to take a cooking break before the mid-week push and dive into the choices during Tuesday night steak night.
You will find incredible specials throughout the week.
From burger night to steak night to taco night, you will find a special that will tempt your cravings every night of the week. Not only will you find regular daily specials, but also holiday specials such as succulent corned beef for Saint Patrick's Day or juicy hamburgers for Father's Day.
Pizza and seafood. Oh my!
Like any New England native, AJ's Steak and Pizza loves seafood. Wednesday nights you can try delicious fresh seafood such as lobster rolls, steamers, and even a shrimp scampi pizza. It's all about combining the best of the best.
Keep up-to-date with the specials at AJ's Steak and Pizza by visiting them on Facebook.
