2. Riley's Hot Dog and Burger Gourmet: 61 Glen St, New Britain, CT 06051
If you want to get great hot dogs in Connecticut, New Britain is clearly the place for it! Another great New Britain joint is Riley's Hot Dog and Burger Gourmet. The place opened up as a hot dog stand back in 2010 and now has a building in the heart of downtown New Britain.
Riley's has traditional dogs like you'd expect, but you can also pick up some funkier varieties here. Ever had fried egg or sauteed mushrooms on a hot dog? You can view a full menu on the restaurant's website.

Blackie's is another long-standing hot dog joint in Connecticut. This little spot in Cheshire opened up in 1928. The building is an unusual, octagonal shape that certainly catches your eye.
Blackie's has a simple menu and a loyal legion of fans. The hot pepper relish here is the major draw. Could this be the best hot dog in Connecticut?
4. Super Duper Weenie: 306 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT 06825
Super Duper Weenie's name may make you smile, but there are some seriously good hot dogs here. The little restaurant has been featured on "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" for its quality hot dogs.
