These breakfast spots in Connecticut are serving up those delicious classics, and more, at affordable prices. You might be a regular somewhere, but consider taking a day off to try out one of these fantastic restaurants. They're not in any particular order, so you'll have to visit them all and decide for yourself!
1. Chip's Family Restaurant (Fairfield)
The eggs benedict are marvelous and the pancakes are oversized, so you always leave stuffed! This is one of the best restaurants in Connecticut and it's easy to see why it's been in business since 1966. They've got several locations throughout the state and serve breakfast all day! 2. Harvest Cafe & Bakery (Simsbury)
This is definitely the place to go for fresh baked breads, including Irish soda bread. Yum! Their bakery also serves plenty of cupcake varieties, so if you've got a sweet tooth, they've got you covered! After browsing the photos on their website, you're sure to want to indulge!
3. Parkside Cafe (Bristol)
The dishes here are super unique, which is why this place is so popular. Expect a wait on the weekends, but know it's worth it! They've got hours and a menu on their website.
4. The Cosmic Omelet (Manchester)
The name says it all! But if omelets aren't your thing, the menu has plenty of options. They also have an art gallery featuring the work of local artists! Their out-of-this-world website has more information.
5. Mo's Midtown (Hartford)
As a self-proclaimed French toast aficionado, trust me when I say this place is fabulous.
6. The Shack Restaurant (Groton)
They've got several locations throughout the state. This place is famous for a dish they call The Mess (pictured), which will take strength to finish. Read all about it on their website.
7. Lake Zoar Drive-In (Stevenson)
Can you say breakfast sandwiches? This place is famous for their lunchtime burgers, but it's also perfect for on the go folks looking for bold flavors in the morning. You can view their menu and even place a to-go order on their website.
8. Yolk Cafe (New London)
This place is the quirkiest in the state, so bring your sense of humor because you might get squirted with water guns! The chef is an absolute delight of a stand up comedian. Their website lists their hours and menu.
9. Bella's Cafe (New Haven)
The menu is great and the bread to butter ratio on their toast is heavenly. Their breakfast, brunch, and lunch menus are available on their website.
10. Whistle Stop Cafe (Deep River)

This place opts to go the healthy route, but is still super delicious and full of flavor. They offer plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and pride themselves on using local produce and eggs. For more information, check out their Facebook.
11. TOAST, Four Corners (Mansfield)

12. Dottie's Diner (Waterbury)

This is a cheery 50s style eatery with phenomenal homemade doughnuts that you don't want to miss. It's easily one of the best diners in Connecticut and you won't be disappointed! Hours and details are available on their Facebook.
13. The Wooden Spoon (Ashford)
This place knows a thing or two about sweet things! Go here for fluffy breakfast items like pancakes and stuffed French toast. Their website lists menu and prices.
Honorable mention goes to Sherwood Diner in Westport: breakfast or lunch, they're fantastic!
