There is definitely an art to sandwich making, and these Connecticut restaurants have mastered it. Great sandwiches are being served up all around the state, but here are some very loved locations, known for impressing their customers. One of these just might be your new go to lunch spot!
1. Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe (Middletown)
This Connecticut franchise has extensive grinder options, which are displayed in a glass case at the front. As soon as you walk in, your stomach starts growling.
2. Goldberg's Bagel Cafe (Hartford)
This place has the best bagels around, and when you combine them with meat and cheese it's enough to make you drool.
3. Vinny's Deli (Wallingford)
The front door says it all. This joint knows a thing or two about roast beef.
4. Carbone's Market (Torrington)
Even if you're not a Giant's fan, you have to try the sandwiches. The Italian combo is out of this world.
5. Blue Cactus Grill (Norwalk)
These cheesesteaks are mystifying! Paired with the house chips, these oversized portions make sure no one leaves hungry.
6. Dog Lane Cafe (Storrs)
Sweet and savory combine for a flavor explosion at this restaurant. They are doing unique things with their sandwiches that you just don't want to miss!
7. Katz's Restaurant Deli (Woodbridge)
If you're feeling dangerous, try a triple decker. But you absolutely must have the corned beef!
8. The Plum Tomato (Colchester)
The gluten free bread makes this place perfect for dieters and folks with allergies. The Titanic Turkey is a must try.
9. Meat & Co. (New Haven)
This place is super hip, but don't let that scare you away! The sandwiches have cool names and they taste amazing to boot.
10. It's Only Natural (Middletown)
This place specializes in providing vegan options, making them totally delicious and totally unique.
Yum! I've always enjoyed having a sandwich for lunch, but some of these look so good I might have to try them for dinner! Have a favorite sandwich place that didn't make the list? Tell us about it!
