Who else thinks that Colorado is the most romantic state in the country? Between the picturesque scenery, abundant cozy bed and breakfasts, and the fact that we have a town called Loveland, there is really no denying that this is the place to be with those you love. Are you looking to amp up the romance even more? Make reservations at one of these 11 romantic restaurants that will make your honey swoon:
Please note, Beatrice & Woodsley is temporarily closed.
1. The Winery Restaurant (Grand Junction)
A restaurant with the name "The Winery" truly needs no explanation as to why it is as romantic as they come... (but if you do need a reason, it's the rustic ambiance and incredible wine selection.)
2. The Mona Lisa: Fondue Restaurant (Colorado Springs)
A four-course fondue dinner (including my favorite: decadent chocolate), drinks, and memorable quality time together await you at this Colorado Springs favorite.
3. Beatrice & Woodsley (Denver)
Let's just say there is a reason that Beatrice and Woodsley (with its memorable cuisine and unique woodsy ambiance) was named one of "America's Top Restaurants" by Zagat and one of Denver's "Best New Restaurants" by 5280...
4. Rio Bistro (Pueblo)
Please note, Rio Bistro is no longer in business.
When it's date night in southern Colorado, the choice is obvious: Rio Bistro and their authentic European cuisine (like this tender schnitzel for dinner and homemade bread pudding for dessert).
5. The Asian Palate (Buena Vista)
Please note, The Asian Palate is no longer in business.
The name (Asian Palate) says it all: creative Asian fusion entrees and fresh sushi that you won't anywhere else along the Slope. (Did we mention the atmosphere is both colorful and modern?)
6. Ragnar’s (Steamboat Springs)
After a long (yet fun) day on the slopes, there is nothing quite like taking in one of Ragnar's sleigh ride dinners, complete with pristine nighttime skies and a to-die-for five-course Scandinavian meal!
7. Flagstaff House (Boulder)
With jaw dropping views like these, who cares what the food tastes like?! (It should go without saying, but the food really is as spectacular as the scenery.)
8. 216 Ferraro's (Salida)
When Salida residents crave homemade pasta (and quality time with their loved one), they know where to go. (This pictured masterpiece is the Coley fish with mango salsa and vegetables... are you drooling yet?)
9. Pine Creek Cookhouse (Aspen)
♫ (Even if) The weather outside is frightful, the warm crisp apple tart and cozy cabin atmosphere are sure to still be delightful! ♫
10. The Fort (Morrison)
The food at The Fort is outstanding, but the history of the restaurant is even better. The popular establishment got its start after a dream home came in over budget and the couple decided to start a restaurant inside it in order to make their vision come true. (The best part? It's 50 years later and the popular restaurant is still going strong.)
11. Rustico Ristorante (Telluride)
There is no better way to conclude a list about the most romantic restaurants in Colorado than by mentioning this Telluride favorite, which specializes in authentic Italian dishes, a wine selection that includes over 1,000 native wines, and lovely surroundings that will make you think you've left the small mountain town for a trip to Rome.
