Bayfield, Colorado. Have you ever heard of it? Sadly, this small La Plata County town of nearly 3,000 is often overlooked, which is a shame, as it boasts friendly and welcoming residents, a beautiful San Juan Mountain landscape, and unique businesses. When you do get the pleasure of visiting, be sure to set aside time for not just the aforementioned but to visit Hong's Garden Chinese Restaurant, which has some of the best Chinese food you will ever try:
Nestled away in the Bayfield Center Plaza, Hong's Garden Chinese Restaurant is locally-owned and operated by Zhao and Min (AKA Joe and Monica) and features the same laid-back vibe that you will find at most other Colorado Chinese restaurants.
Unlike other Colorado Chinese restaurants, however, the food at Hong's Garden is always top-notch, making it one of the best in the state!
When it's lunchtime, the locals flock to Hong's Garden for their entrees, complete with soup, egg roll, fried rice, and a fortune cookie.
Are you extra hungry? Then take advantage of Hong's mouthwatering lunch buffet, which is served Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to their crave-able lunch specials, Hong's Garden also offers an extensive dinner menu with house specialties, combination plates, and all of your favorite entrees.
