There are several restaurants in Cincinnati that have something special and that have seamlessly found their way into the community. These are the true dining destinations that you recommend to a friend when asked for a suggestion for a nice meal. One eatery that is often talked about - and for good reason - is Ruth's Parkside Cafe in Northside. Located inside a historic factory warehouse, this restaurant is inviting, eclectic, delicious, and perfect for your next meal out.
Ruth's Parkside Cafe is located in the former American Can Building in the heart of Northside. It's hard to believe this eatery has only been around for five years, as it feels like it's been a Cincinnati favorite for decades.
The factory building that houses the restaurant has its own interesting story and now includes other businesses and residences. It was built in 1921, and the factory made machinery that produced cans. It later was home to a few other businesses, but in 1978 it was effectively abandoned. Thankfully, in 2005, the process began to place the building on the historic registry, which eventually happened, and it's now a historic Cincinnati building with an amazing comeback story.
Ruth's Parkside Cafe has definitely maintained some of that factory and warehouse feel with soaring ceilings and wide-open windows. The interior is a lovely mix of industrial and modern style, with plenty of eclectic features to add even more character.
The restaurant also hosts different artists and puts their work on display for diners to enjoy. The art and atmosphere of the restaurant both make it a lovely and special place to enjoy a meal out.
The menu for lunch and dinner are what has really grabbed the community's heart and they are filled with flavorful options. The menu is unique, yet approachable and includes something everyone will enjoy.
For both lunch and dinner, you can choose from a variety of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. The presentation of the meals is a treat for your eyes, and the flavor of each dish is definitely a treat for your taste buds.
Dessert is also a sweet indulgence at Ruth's, and it's another reason with the restaurant has quickly left its mark. If you can snag a piece of Gooey Butter Cake, do not miss the opportunity to try one of the best desserts in the city. All of their other sweet creations are just as mouthwatering.
Ruth's Parkside Cafe combines an eclectic and welcoming atmosphere with a remarkable menu to make for one of the best overall dining experiences in Cincinnati. The next time you'd like to enjoy a special meal out, don't forget about this warehouse restaurant in Northside.
