Stone's Restaurant is a family owned legend on Harrison Avenue in the heart of Cheviot.
The diner opened in 1962 at the original location, pictured above. Although the restaurant itself has changed, the foundation it was built upon has remained the same. It has always maintained a neighborhood feel, where you're treated like family and served homemade meals just like Grandma would make.
The heart of Stone's comes from its owners, Chris and Stephanie.
When you visit, you'll likely be greeted by one or both of them. And don't worry if you're not a regular - you are still welcomed with a smile and offered a menu filled with Stephanie's homemade specialties.
The interior of Stone's conjures up memories of Sunday dinner at Grandma's house. It's like stepping back in time, in the best way possible.
It's not often you'll find a truly homemade menu, but that's what you get at Stone's.
Going with the special is always a safe bet, but really anything from the menu will be delicious and hit the spot. The food is simple and classic, the portions are generous, and the price point is easy on the wallet. Stone's serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is open Tuesday - Friday 11am to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 8pm. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
To be in business, especially the small, family-run restaurant business for over 50 years is impressive and endearing.
