The history of Cincinnati can be told through its aging homes and buildings - all of which are still filled with life, whether or not they have been maintained over the years. The Queen City and its residents are passionate about giving new purposes to these historic places, and you'll often see an aging warehouse transformed into apartments or a run-down business restored as a thriving restaurant. Two locals that definitely believe in this vision are the Ferrari brothers, who have already put their stamp on historic properties in our city. Their newest venture, Mom 'n 'em Coffee, is now open in Camp Washington, and you're going to love this 127-year-old house turned cafe in Cincinnati where you can fuel up on coffee and wine.
There are many ways to show your parents how much you appreciate them, but Tony and Austin Ferrari decided to do it with a coffee shop dedicated to their mom.
Like all of their businesses, this is a true family business and one that also gives back to the Cincinnati community.
Mom 'n 'em Coffee is housed inside a 127-year-old home in Camp Washington, a neighborhood that so many locals drive through on a regular basis.
You now have another reason to stop by, say hello to the Ferrari family, and enjoy a cup of coffee, delicious food, and even a glass of wine in the evenings.
The interior of the cafe is lovely and highlights the historic features of the building.
It's everything you'd want in a combination coffee shop/wine bar, making it a perfect place to sit with your laptop during the day or meet up with friends after work.
The cafe opens at 7 a.m. during the week and at 8 a.m. on the weekends, so swing by for an artfully prepared cup of your favorite coffee and a pastry or breakfast sandwich.
Once you step inside, you may want to stay for a bit and enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
One of the many surprises here is that they also serve an impressive selection of wine and liquor in the afternoon and evening.
They even offer a monthly wine club, which you can learn more about here.
The seasonal menu features unique options like tinned fishes, cheeses, and meats, most of which you won't easily find elsewhere.
It's a bit of a fine dining experience, right inside a cafe that's as comfortable as mom's house.
The Ferrari brothers obviously care about their mom and the city of Cincinnati, as they've placed a likeness of her on the side of a restored, historic building in Camp Washington.
This should be your cue that Mom 'n 'em Coffee is a place that welcomes all and is paving the way as this vibrant Cincinnati community begins to breathe a new life.
