Authentic just tastes better, wouldn't you agree? After all, if you had to choose between boxed pierogies and homemade pierogies, which would you pick? Probably the homemade pierogies just like grandma and mom used to make, right? Treat yourself to an assortment of authentic Polish dishes - from pierogies to potato placki - at this enchanting Polish restaurant in Southern California.
Nestled in Santa Monica, Solidarity Restaurant has been dishing up authentic Polish dishes for more than four decades.
Owned and run by Elina O'Lague, from Krakow, the restaurant offers both a charming atmosphere, with indoor and patio seating, and a scrumptious menu.
Kick off your meal with a Polish beer - a Zywiec Polish Lager or an Ockocim Polish Lager - at Solidarity, which you may remember as the Warszawa Restaurant.
Pair your beer, a glass of wine, or a refreshing cocktail with a delicious appetizer. How do the pierogies or grilled kielbasa sound?
Sometimes, however, nothing compares to a bowl of piping hot soup - hot borscht, chicken soup, or split pea, maybe?
Sample some of the best Polish dishes - pieorgies, kielbasa, mizeria, and placki - by ordering the small plate taster.
The menu also features an assortment of entrees, including the beef stroganoff, the chicken or pork schnitzel, and the golabki.
In the mood for a hearty steak? Try the filet mignon, complemented with pepper cream sauce and mashed potatoes.
