With a salty breeze and magnificent ocean waves, the pier makes a great place to walk and see the Pacific Ocean from different lookout points along the way.
It’s also a popular fishing spot where you can spot fishermen catching a variety of seafood and fish, like halibut and mackerel.
When you reach the end of the boardwalk, there’s a nice surprise waiting.
If you’ve worked up an appetite, you can eat at Ruby’s Diner, a 1950s diner serving all of the American-style favorites - and it has the best view around!
There’s plenty of activities to do at the beach and the pier, like bike riding or taking a brisk walk up and down the coast and boardwalk.
It can be quite windy, so you might want to bring a light jacket along.
In the evenings, the sunsets are even more stunning as they illuminate the sky and accentuate the palm trees.
