Go ahead and ask any Buffalonian, it doesn't have to be Tuesday in order for us to be craving some amazing local tacos. Out-of-towners may flock to the Queen City to enjoy our famous wings, but Buffalonians also know that you can find some absolutely savory Mexican restaurants hiding in plain sight all throughout the city. With a few locations now set up around Buffalo, today we're going to show you over to Hertel Avenue to enjoy one of our favorite places to get some tacos. Do you know where we're headed?
Right on the corner of Hertel and Starin Avenue in North Buffalo, Deep South Taco is the only place you need to visit when you're craving tacos.
As if the electrifying yellow exterior wasn't colorful enough for you, inside the vibrant ambiance continues from the ceilings to the floors.
Like any ultimate Mexican restaurant, you'll find in the heart of Deep South Taco is an amazing bar.
Their drink menu has everything you would hope to find, serving up to-die-for margaritas, sangrias, and a Tequila menu that will make your mouth water.
Of course, though this is a restaurant that's become famous for their tacos - so let's get to the good stuff.
Inside Deep South Taco, you'll find plenty of cozy dining tables for you to choose from.
The taco portion of Deep South's menu includes a list so long you almost won't believe your eyes.
Featuring everything from Baja Shrimp, Ahi Tuna, Lobster, Carne Asada, and Carnitas tacos to Papas Con Rajas, Huitlacoche, Pescado, Pollo Verde, Chorizo, and Carne Molida - your mind will be spinning with excitement and hunger.
To crank things up a notch though, you can also take a look at their specialty tacos.
On the specialty section of their menu, you can see things like the Scorpion Taco that they sell as the World’s Hottest Taco Ever - made up of scorpion red chili chicken, ghost pepper cheese, habanero slaw, diced jalapeno, scorpion chili dust, cilantro, served luchador style with bean puree. Woah!
Of course, you're always welcome to look at the other options on the menu like their quesadillas, burritos, and nachos.
Soon it'll even be warm enough to dine outside on Deep South Taco's patio, where you can enjoy some of the best food in the area all while you're out in the sunshine.
