If you're someone who happens to love feasting away on Japanese cuisine, then you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that you can find quite a few amazingly unique spots around the city of Buffalo. Over on Main Street, you can discover Misuta Chow's - a restaurant that feels like stepping into a Tokyo side street alley and even has its own arcade upstairs! Well, if this kind of exciting restaurant is your sort of thing, then all you have to do is continue making your way out towards the waterfront and you'll eventually find another one of our favorite spots: Sato Brewpub.
Head down into the basement of Buffalo's historic Dun Building, located on the corner of Pearl and Swan Streets, and you'll discover a new favorite Japenese restaurant.
Sato Brewpub is unique Japanese izakaya (informal brewpub) that's unlike any other in Western New York.
Since opening its doors, Sato has been warmingly welcomed by all who have tried their fantastic Japanese comfort food dishes.
At Sato, you’ll be able to order amazing eats like bento boxes and rice bowls for lunch...
...and for dinner, you'll discover a delicious array of ramen bowls, sashimi, salads, and mouthwatering meat skewers seasoned with Sato's special house sauce.
Of course, you don't just come here for the amazing food - this is a speciality Japanese brewpub after all!
Sato crafts all of their own beers on-site, using unique ingredients like puffed brown rice, fruits, green tea, and soba to bring an unexpected array of flavors to Buffalo.
You'll find several options on tap at any given time, but we suggest starting your tasting journey with a beer flight so you can sample several of the delicious drinks and pick a favorite.
If you had no idea this Japenese brewpub was hiding away in one of our historic buildings, you're not alone, but now that you've discovered it, it's time to head on over to Pearl Street to visit Sato Brewpub!
