There are plenty of options for eating like a king in the Queen City. When you're feeling the need to sink your teeth into a nice, big burger (and, let's face it, when aren't we?), the possibilities are endless! Feast your eyes on this juicy list of our picks for the top eleven burger joints in and around Buffalo. Warning: These photos will make you hungry. Proceed with caution.
1. 716 Food & Sport (7 Scott Street, Buffalo)
The Pegula's know how to party, and their restaurant offerings are no exception. 716 has several great burgers to choose from on their menu. Try the sliders or Spicy Burger with jalapeño ghost pepper cheese for an extra kick!
2. Allen Burger Venture (175 Allen Street)
Oh, Allen Burger Venture. How do we love thee? Let us count the ways: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... Each numbered burger on the menu is another reason to fall for this downtown burger joint! Don't leave without trying the tater tots. You're welcome.
3. Buffalo Proper Plate & Pour (333 Franklin Street)
There's nothing prim and proper about these burgers. From the swiss burger loaded with swiss cheese to "The Burger" topped with mustard, fried egg, and house chips, you can't go wrong!
4. Big Ditch Brewing Co. (55 E. Huron Street)
What goes better together than beer and burgers? Lucky for us, Big Ditch has great selections of both. Order the classic bacon and cheddar bacon burger or step outside of your comfort zone with their really "gouda" duck burger.
5. Grover's Bar & Grill (9160 Transit Road, E. Amherst)
If Guy Fieri says it's good, it must be good. Grover's was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and their burgers definitely earned their claim to fame. I mean... just look at these things!
6. JuiCy Burger Bar (1 Buffalo Street, Hamburg)
The burgers at JuiCy Burger Bar live up to their namesake. While the restaurant itself might be small, their burgers are anything but. Not sure which one to order? Try the Hogzilla, Weck Yo Self, and Big Poppa burgers. You can thank us later.
7. The Lodge (79 W. Chippewa Street)
Simple is sometimes best. The Lodge Burger consists of two house-ground patties on a sesame roll, with caramelized onions, bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese. Add your favorite toppings and sauce and dig in!
8. Rock Bottom (6261 Transit Road, E. Amherst)
Patio dining season is right around the corner! If you're searching for a spot to eat in the great outdoors, head to Rock Bottom and indulge in what they're most known for: the burgers.
9. SOHO Burger Bar (64 W. Chippewa Street, Buffalo)
Three bars, two patios, and dozens of signature burgers to choose from. Who could ask for more? Probably some people - which is why Soho Burger Bar also has a custom burger menu, where you can build your own!
10. Stack Burger (174 Orchard Park Road, W. Seneca)
Stacks is one of those burger joints where the food definitely surpasses any and all expectations. I mean... just LOOK at that Hangover Burger!
11. Vizzi's (967 Kenmore Avenue, Kenmore)
Vizzi's is a casual joint with first-class burgers. The crowd favorite? This Bacon-Bleu Burger. YUM!
