While you're in Mountain Home, one local business well worth a visit or three is Rapp's Barren Brewing Company. Rapp's has bragging rights beyond their great brew selection - they're the first brewery to open in Mountain Home! Let's sit for a sip and see more of this tasty landmark:
Although they haven't been around terribly long, Rapp's Barren Brewing Company is already a beloved local favorite.
The brewery opened in fall of 2017 and has managed to thrive even during the pandemic! Let's explore this brewery more.
Rapp's Barren Brewing Company has the distinction of being Mountain Home's first craft brewery.
Their name pays homage to the town. When Mountain Home was originally settled in the early 1800s, the area was known as "Rapp's Barren." What looked like a barren, seemingly infertile plot of land to some was cherished and developed by settlers.
The craft of the brewery is Rapp's top priority.
The brewery was started by Russell Tucker and Chris Gordon and their love of craft beer. Every single batch served at Rapp's is hand crafted with high standards.
Sit for a flight to find a new favorite brew. Rapp's has more than the expected light to dark menu!
Let your palette pick between the Buffalo Blonde Ale, My Sweet Mtn. Home Stout, or a balanced 1810 Cream Ale. The taps routinely change but one definitely worth sipping is the Pandemic DIPA (Double India Pale Ale). Your traveling tastes don't have to stop there though! In addition to the beer brews, Rapp's also has rich coffee, kombucha, and soda!
Pair your drink with food truck grub or in-house meal.
The food selection changes quite a bit but is always delicious! You may catch Kyle's in-house pizza or a mouthwatering burger from The Curb food truck.
This is one local business worth cheering on!
Come for the brews but stay for the food, music, and good company at Rapp's. Be sure to follow their Facebook Page for food truck insights and head to their website to see what's on tap!
