From stick-to-your-ribs biscuits and gravy to irresistible sandwiches, Stoby's is the champion of comfort food in Arkansas. This breakfast, lunch, and dinner eatery will leave you full and satisfied every time! Let's munch on some of the best cheese dip in the world as we learn more.
This Arkansas dining classic is a wonderful experience if you're passing through Conway or Russellville.
Stoby's originally opened back in 1980 in Conway with the Russellville location shortly added in 1984. Owner, David Stobaugh, based the menu on friends' suggestions and in-kitchen experiments which led to the delicious smorgasbord of options.
Start your early morning at Stoby's with a hot 6 AM breakfast.
Made-from-scratch sausage gravy or perfectly messy cinnamon rolls will make your meal a true southern treat. Add some protein with Petit Jean ham, too! Breakfast is served until 11 AM at both locations so it's perfectly acceptable to sleep in before dining in.
Once breakfast is out of the way, dive into a bowl of Stoby's famous cheese dip.
Arkansas is the original home of cheese dip so it's fitting that some of the worlds best be found here! The ooey gooey dip is made from 100% cheese and comes in two varieties: original yellow or spicy white. If you're not careful you may end up making a meal out of this appetizer! It's okay, we won't judge.
If you've managed to not fill up completely on cheese dip, then the rest of the menu is available to peruse.
The two locations do have a variety but both feature a mile-long list of sandwich and burger options. The most famous of these being the Stoby. Naturally, the namesake sandwich is a winner for everyone! Each Stoby sandwich is a tailored taste bud tantalizer with your choice of bread (six options), three meats, two cheeses, and topped with a special dressing, tomato, and lettuce. Include a bag of chips and pickle spear and this meal will cost you less than $8!
You may need a to-go box but don't forget dessert!
Savor a tongue-in-cheek slice of possum pie. If you're hesitant just remember it's the chocolate "playing possum" by hiding in between layers, not actual possum. Desserts are varied at both locations but a Butterfinger milkshake from Conway or Russellville slice of pie are sweet ways to end your Stoby's experience.
Stoby's is a true Arkansas gem that everyone should savor.
If you haven't been yet, well you're in for a treat! See the full menu for both locations by visiting Stoby's website. You can also follow the Conway or Russellville Facebook Pages.
