There's no doubt that Arkansas has some of the best entrepreneurs in the nation. We're a state of creative and hard working folks just filled with new ways to help people. Three people in particular, Ben Gitchel, Hannah Withers and A.B. Merritt, may have created the most perfect blend of business ideas. Let's see what their establishment has to offer.
This unassuming building holds the most delightful of businesses.
Let's take a peek inside.
What a pleasantly retro laundromat!
The Sit & Spin opened last spring in Fayetteville. It'll be your new favorite place as soon as you visit.
How nice. They even offer free soap.
It's earth friendly, too!
Yep, this is quite a nice little place...
...oh but wait, what's this?
They also serve food!
The "sit" part of the establishment is actually a restaurant! Don't hesitate to try a burger, as they're spectacular. There's no greasy grub here. Sit & Spin offers mouthwatering choices such as Zorba the Greek. This burger is covered in homemade tzatziki and feta cheese, topped with fresh tomatoes.
Try a burger or a salad.
Like this Spin Salad, it's fresh baby spinach mixed with artichoke hearts, bacon, tomatoes, and drizzled with honey mustard.
Or just munch on some donuts while you wait for your load to finish.
They offer flavors such as Arkansas honey with sea salt, cinnamon and sugar, jelly and a daily special donut.
Be sure to keep an eye out for their sign the next time you're driving down Leverett Avenue.
Fun fact: The designer of their sign is local artist, Eugene Sargent. You may be familiar with his sculpture and benches at Wilson Park as well as the giant train at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.
So grab your laundry bag and have a bite at the Sit & Spin.
They're located at 737 N Leverett Ave. in Fayetteville. The "spin" is open 24/7 and the "sit" is open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
