We may be a teensy bit biased, but Arkansas does have some of the best primitive campsites in the world. You don't have to look far to find a spot to fulfill that pleasantly lost in the woods feeling here in the Natural State. That said, if you're not in the mood to become the next Bear Grylls, the state has some pretty darn glorious glamping opportunities as well. You'll definitely feel pampered at this particular yurt in the middle of Arkansas wine country.
The wine at Dionysus Wine & Brew is one of the must-sips along your tour of Arkansas wine country.
The boutique winery is owned by Sharla & Dennis Wiederkehr, members of arguably the most iconic wine crafting family in the south. Dionysus opened in 2014 and offers more than just tasty wines.
Address: 9017 Highway 186, Altus, AR, 72821
After you've toured and tasted the cabin's wines, you can stay at the Dionysus yurt.
There's really no better place for a girls weekend or a quick romantic getaway than at this winery's yurt.
The yurt is so much more than a round tent.
The yurt is a perfect balance of hotel amenities and a rustic camping experience.
Staying at the yurt gives you peaceful mountain view, a relaxing place to sleep, and (of course) some of the tastiest wine to sip.
This is certainly our favorite view of the Boston Mountains, complete with a fire pit weenie roast and a glass in hand. Nights at the yurt start at $84 and can be booked through this site. You can also find more information by visiting their website or by following their Facebook Page.
