There's no shortage of sweet stops along Hot Spring's Central Avenue but one will give you a particularly delicious taste of the past - Colonial Candy Corner. Stepping into this little shop is like a dream and a sweet one at that! Let's gaze in amazement at this delightful wall-to-wall candy store.
It's missing the Oompa Loompas but the Colonial Candy Corner is a close second to a Wonka dream.
The tiny store is absolutely packed with candy, chocolates, taffies, and just about every sweet you remember from your childhood.
The whimsical shop creates many of their sweets on site.
The store-created treats include fluffy cotton candy, chocolate-dipped everything (pretzels, peanuts, you-name-it) and homemade fudge. You can also have a handmade candy bouquet or order one for delivery!
The shop specializes in nostalgic candies but you'll see a few modern names on the shelves as well.
The store features a nostalgic favorite, Hammond's Candies. Just about every generation has a fond memory of Hammond's since they've been in business for nearly 100 years! Younger chocoholics will recognize brands like Wonka and Hershey. Everyone will be able to find a new treat as well as an old favorite in this shop.
Those with a sweet tooth will adore pouring over the flavors of saltwater taffy.
Another big name featured in the shop is Taffy Town. The gourmet taffitiers have been in business since 1916 and boast over 75 unique flavors.
This sweet stop will delight kids and let your inner child run wild.
There's nothing like a sugar rush from Colonial Candy Corner to keep a hop in your step as you stroll Central Avenue. You'll want to make this stop a Hot Springs tradition any time you're in town. For more sweet details you can follow their Facebook Page right here.
