No matter how you feel about the fast approaching Valentine's Day, just about everyone can enjoy the excuse to eat more chocolate. Arkansans won't even have to wait until all the day-after holiday sales because a particularly sweet event will be coming up this weekend. On Feb. 3rd, 2019 the Cooperative Christian Ministries & Clinic will host the 15th Annual Chocolate Festival in Hot Springs. Let's indulge on the details for this super sweet event.
For well over a decade now, the Cooperative Christian Ministries and Clinic (CCMC) has hosted the most delicious festival.
This year will be the 15th Annual Chocolate Festival and it's on Feb. 3rd, 2019 from 12 - 2 pm. It's always held at the Embassy Suites of Hot Springs (which is located at 400 Convention Blvd., Hot Springs, AR 71901).
It may feel like an indulgence but the festival is for a truly good cause.
The proceeds from this chocolate fest help support different programs of the CCMC. Every bite of bonbon or brownie helps the CCMC to offer charitable medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy clinics to uninsured and under-insured folks as well as other programs to alleviate poverty.
The endless supply of chocolate is provided by all sorts of local businesses.
Professional bakers, fine dining restaurants, and shops large and small all bring some sort of chocolaty goodness to share. Bleu Monkey Grill, Dolce Gelato, Red Light Roastery, and Bistro 400 are just a few of the attending businesses this year.
The near-endless sweets aren't the only thing to look forward to at the Chocolate Festival.
Sure, you can splurge on bars, fudge, bonbons, and ice cream but that's not the end to the Chocolate Festival. While you munch on different goodies you'll be able to peruse the silent auction. This auction has a ton of big items such as vacation getaways and local splurges like a day along Bathhouse Row. Different entertainers will be also performing throughout the event like the Fun City Chorus and juggler/balloon artist Justin Time. Ken Goodman will be emceeing the event and you can even watch Josh Adams paint live.
Every year this festival seems to get a little sweeter and we know this one will be no exception.
So, make sure you have your tickets and plans to attend this decadent festival. The event is positively family friendly too! Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Head to the CCMC's website for more details and to get tickets. A VIP option for $50 is also available, it'll have valet parking and a lounge.
For more details you can also visit the Chocolate Fest's Facebook Event Page.
