Prohibition is long gone, but speakeasies aren't! Beneath the streets of downtown Gilbert lies The White Rabbit, an underground bar in Arizona. If you can find the hidden entrance (and figure out the secret password), you're in for a roaring good time!
Follow the white rabbit down a hidden staircase and through a secret door into an underground bar in downtown Gilbert.
It also happens to be the city's very first speakeasy!
The White Rabbit Bar opened its doors in 2018, establishing a cocktail culture in the East Valley that only continues to grow.
Prepare to leave reality behind as you descend beneath the city streets and enter a whole new world of Prohibition-era swank and mysteriousness.
Adding yet another layer of intrigue is the bar's fleshed out storyline.
It all started in 1920 with a doctor by the name of O'Hare. He took advantage of Prohibition by opening an "apothecary" that doled out alcoholic "prescriptions" for various ailments - thus, the speakeasy was born.
The cocktails at The White Rabbit are almost too beautiful to drink.
Whether you imbibe occasionally or on a regular basis, the unique flavor pairings and striking presentations promise to captivate your senses.
Other beverages include spirits, beer, and wine, and there's also a food menu with elevated small bites, such as bruschetta and truffle fries.
So put on your Gatsby-style finest and come party like it's 1920 at The White Rabbit in Gilbert - if you can find it, that is.
Visit the bar's website or Facebook page for more information, including current hours and a full menu.
