If you're in the mood for a delicious blast from the past, look no further than Sullivan's Eatery & Creamery in Tucson. For over 40 years, this retro diner has been serving up some of the best burgers and ice cream around, and it shows no signs of stopping any time soon.
Located in a Tucson strip center, Sullivan's Eatery & Creamery looks like any other modern-day restaurant.
Inside, however, it's an entirely different story.
The front door is like a portal leading straight back to the 1950s.
Red leather booths, vintage décor, and a chalkboard menu whisk you back to the simpler times of yesteryear.
From juicy, six-ounce burgers to an old-fashioned BLT, all the classic diner fare you crave is made fresh daily.
With each bite, you'll be transported further back to childhood weekends spent at the local soda fountain.
Besides burgers, old-school diners are best known for their frozen treats.
Sullivan's is no different, with an ice cream menu almost as extensive as the regular one.
Choose between a sundae, shake, or float - all totally customizable to your liking.
There are two dozen ice cream flavors available, plus 14 different toppings. You could visit every day and come up with a new creation each time.
If you opt for a sundae, you can either build your own or go with one of Sullivan's signature creations.
They come in two sizes: small (one scoop, one topping) and large (two scoops, two toppings).
Signature creation flavors include mint Oreo, cookie dough, coffee caramel, brownie cake batter, and several more decadent options.
Rest assured there's something to satisfy every sweet tooth.
If you like to keep it simple and enjoy your ice cream as is, that's perfectly OK, too!
It tastes just as good plain as it does covered in toppings.
Sullivan's offers dine-in, pickup, and delivery. Visit the restaurant's website or Facebook page to learn more.
