This unique and delicious restaurant is located off-the-beaten-path, but believe us, after a bite of its world-famous chili or a juicy hamburger, you are going to be so grateful that you made the journey.

Tortilla Flat is a historic town that is tucked away in a small valley. At one time, this area was used by the Native Americans as they traveled to and from the central Arizona mountains and the Salt River Valley.

Years later, this area became a popular place for military personnel, prospectors, ranchers, and others to camp at as they traveled along the Yavapai Trail. In fact, there wasn’t even a road into this area until 1904.

The Superstition Restaurant and Saloon is one of the few businesses in this tucked-away town. To reach this restaurant, you’ll have to drive down a long and windy road.

When you walk into the Superstition Restaurant and Saloon, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into a different time and place. You’ll see saddle bar stools, unique décor, and even walls of dollar bills.

But while the restaurant itself is quite unique and the atmosphere is certainly friendly, the food is what will bring you back again and again.

This Arizona restaurant is known for many dishes but the most popular is the killer chili. This chili is made daily and prepared using the most incredible mix of spices that will leave you constantly craving a bowl of it.

The burgers are also one-of-a-kind. They are each made fresh and feature a 1/3-pound beef patty on a country potato bun.

The menu also features items like nachos, sandwiches, and hot dogs, and everything is so good — you really won't go wrong!

You can always pair your meal with a drink or step into the country store for some delicious prickly pear gelato or lemonade. No matter what you choose, you'll be glad you did!
